It is nearly 1 month since the last devblog. This devblog is focused on one of the main issues on the game and that is zombie pathfinding, but that's not all, there are also some news about the stuff that didn't make it into the game with the latest update.
Experimental Branch saw many changes in 0.44, which have been released on stable. Two very important changes were improvements to multiplayer netcode and an entirely new mouse control system that removed the previous one based on mouse acceleration.
"We’re now continuing our work optimizing and bug fixing, while others in the studio work towards new functionality for hunting and survival."
One of the good is mouse acceleration being removed, desync isuess are pretty much gone.
The bad are: We still got no campfires (even though they've promised it), this update mostly brings us fixes and some new items, however still no reason to play the game for a longer time and with an actual objective.
We NEED persistent items, tents for a start, that would give us a reason to play. We could make a camp, with fireplaces, we could make a proper camp with everything, move all valuable stuff there and go on an adventure! I'm hoping to see a huge patch in May, for now we have to go with this :).
